These are some of the charities that we currently raise money for, and who help us by providing planting areas or other help.
A big thank you to all the people who make 'Life for a Life' the successful project that it is today.
Charities
Beechwood Cancer Care Centre
Beechwood Cancer Care Centre is a privately funded hospice that offers care and support to cancer patients and their families in and around the Stockport area.
Life For A Life continues to make regular donations to the hospice.
Blackburn Cathedral
Blackburn Cathedral became a beneficiary of Life For A Life in May 2007. The book of remembrance for the new Life For A Life Memorial Forest at Greens Arms Road, Blackburn is held in the Cathedral.
Bolton Hospice
Bolton Hospice provides specialist palliative care for patients and their families who face the problems associated with life-threatening illnesses through extensive day care, outpatient and complimentary therapy facilities.
The hospice benefits from clients who wish to plant a tree at the Life For A Life Memorial Forest at Marklands, Horwich.
Broughton House
Broughton House is a home for Ex-Servicemen and women who need long term, short term, respite or day care in a quiet residential area.
Bury Hospice
Bury Hospice promote facilities for the care of patients who are terminally ill and also provides support for their families.
The Life For A Life Memorial Forest at Woodgate Hill in Bury has continued to support the hospice and due to the popularity of the scheme we are currently looking to obtain additional land in the Bury area.
Children's Hospice South West
Children's Hospice South West is a registered charity that offers care and support for children with life limiting or life threating conditions and their families.
Derian House Childrens Hospice
Derian House Childrens' Hospice is a registered charity based in Chorley that provides care and support for terminally ill children and their families.
Derian House became an officially appointed beneficiary of Life For A Life in May 2007. It will benefit from donations received by clients who wish to plant a tree at the new Life For A Life Memorial Forest at Nab Hill, Chorley.
Dr Kershaw’s Hospice
Dr Kershaw's Hospice is an independent Hospice and a registered charity that provides specialist palliative care for adults with non - curable life threatening illnesses.
Life For A Life makes regular donations to the hospice from clients who choose to plant a tree at the Salmon Fields and Dr Kershaw's Memorial Forests.
Francis House Children's Hospice
Located in East Didsbury, Manchester. Francis House Chidrens' Hospice offers the families of very sick children a respite from their role of careers and gives the children a loving home form home.
Help Adolescents with Cancer
Help Adolescents with Cancer is a self help group founded by Niki Winnard who was diagnosed with cancer when she was 13. H.A.W.C is a registered charity that helps and supports young people that have or have had any kind of cancer or life threatening disease.
Life For A Life welcomes H.A.W.C as new beneficiary from November 2005.
Liverpool Cathedral
Liverpool cathedral is a beautiful, spectacular building.
The City is getting ready to celebrate becoming European Capital of Culture in 2008.
Regular donations are made to the cathedral for the archiving of completed books of remembrance.
Clients are able to use the books to assist in tracing family members for historical purposes.
Manchester Cathedral
Regular donations are made to cathedrals for archiving of Books of Remembrance, once full, so that clients are able to trace back a tree planting, generation upon generation, in perpetuity.
Manchester Maccabi
Manchester Maccabi became a beneficiary of Life For A Life in March 2008.
This newly built centre is located in Prestwich and provides a home for Manchester's sports and social activities. Facilities include a bistro, bar, multi purpose hall, floodlit all-weather and grass pitches and more. The aim of the club is to provide an outlet for Jewish education and sports activties.
MedEquip4Kids
Medequip is a registered charity thats helps children in and out of hospital and has just celebrated it's 20th anniversary.
Life For A Life supports and makes regular donations to Medequip on an ongoing basis.
Rossendale Hospice
Rossendale Hospice offers care to patients who are terminally ill and support to their families.
The Life For A Life Memorial Forest at Dunnockshaw continues to support the hospice and makes regular donations on an ongoing basis.
Rotary International
Rotary International is a worldwide organisation of business and professional leaders that provide humanitarian services, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations and helps build goodwill and peace in the world.
Life For A Life supports Rotary International on an ongoing basis and has recently taken part in an joint project to construct a Rotary Wheel in stone at the centre of the forest at Tandle Hill.
Royal British Legion
The Royal British Legion is the UK's leading charity providing financial, social and emotional support to millions who have served and are currently serving in the Armed Forces and their dependents.
Life For A Life makes regular donations to The Royal British Legion and also offers a designated planting area in many of our memorial forests called The Warriors Rest for ex servicemen.
SSAFA Forces Help
SSAFA are the national charity helping serving and Ex-Service men, women and their families, including widows and widowers in need.
Life For A Life makes regular donations to SSAFA and also provides a designated planting area called The Warriors Rest in many of our memorial forests.
St John’s Hospice, Lancaster
St John's Hospice, Lancaster provides support and palliative care to both patients and their families.
During 2004 Life For A Life launched a memorial forest at Crook O' Lune from which all proceeds raised will be donated to the hospice on an ongoing basis.
St Joseph’s Hospice Association
St Joseph's Hospice Association cares for poor, vulnerable and terminally ill people both in the UK and worldwide.
Life For A Life has two memorial forests situated in the grounds of the hospices at both Thornton and Ormskirk.
Funds generated from trees planted at these sites are donated back to the St Joseph's Hospice Association on an ongoing basis.
St Margaret's Hospice Taunton
St Margaret's Somerset Hospice is a registered charity committed to providing specialist palliative care, advice, support and respite to patients and their families living in Somerset and parts of neighbouring counties.
St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice
St Margaret's Somerset Hospice is a local charity committed to providing specialist palliative care, advice, support and respite to patients and their families living in Somerset and parts of neighbouring areas.
During 2004 Life For A Life has launched memorial forests at Hawkridge, Clatworthy and Sutton Bingham, all of which will generated donations to St Margaret's Hospice Somerset.
St Peters Cathedral, Lancaster
Saint Peter's Cathedral building dates back to 1857 - 1859.
The view of the 240ft high steeple is a fine sight to see, overlooking the centre of Lancaster.
Regular donations are made to the cathedral in way of appreciation for holding the archived books of remembrance
St Rocco’s Hospice
St Rocco's Hospice offers facilities to care for patients who are terminally ill and to provide support for their families in and around the Warrington area.
Funds generated from trees planted at the Life For A Life Memorial Forest at Mersey Meadows are donated to St Rocco's Hospice.
Wells Cathedral
Wells Cathedral is a peaceful and joyful cathedral.
The cathedral has a fascinating historical background.
Regular donations are made to the cathedral in support of them holding the archived books of remembrance.
Willow Wood Hospice
Willow Wood Hospice provides palliative care for patients during the changing phases of their illness. The team at the hospice encourage patients regardless of race, colour, religion, age, sex or sexuality to maintain their identity, dignity and independence whilst supporting their family, friends and carers.
Life For A Life makes regular donations to the hospice from funds generated from trees which are planted at the memorial forest at Torside, Glossop
Partners
Bristol Water
Bristol Water have recently joined the Life For A Life scheme in 2005 and in doing so have donated two beautiful planting sites that have enabled us to open Life For A Life memorial forests at Chew Valley and Blagdon.
Lancashire County Council
Lancashire County Council have donated land to Life For A Life to enable us to open memorial forests at Wycoller and Crook O Lune.
Manchester City Council
Life For A Life welcomes Manchester City Council as a partner from October 2007. Life For A Life are currently negotiating with Manchester City Council the opening of two new memorial forests in Higher Blackley and at Wythenshawe Park. It is expected that both these sites with come on stream in July 2008.
Marshalls Mono Ltd
Marshalls Mono Ltd have been supporters of 'Life For A Life ' memorial forests for serveral years and have donated many thousnads of pounds worth of materials. The largest Rotary Wheel in the world centenary project was only made possible because of the huge support given to the charity.
National Memorial Arboretum
Life For A Life welcomes the National Memorial Arboretum as a new partner from January 2008.
The National Memorial Arboretum was established in 1997 and is set within the national forest of Staffordshire near Litchfield.
The memorial comprises of 150 acres of trees and memorial devoted to the concept of remembrance.
Oldham Council
Oldham Council has donated land in the Oldham area that has enabled Life For A Life to open memorial forests at both Salmon Fields and Tandle Hill.
United Utilities
United Utilities have kindly donated several areas of land which have enabled us to create Life For A Life memorial forests in some of the most beautiful picturesque and panoramic landscapes in the country.
Wessex Water
Wessex Water joined the Life For A Life scheme in 2004 and have donated three areas of land that have enabled us to create Life For A Life forests at Clatworty, Sutton Bingham and Hawkridge.

The registrar service fully supports Life For A Life by issuing registration documents in a specially designed folder donated by Life For A Life.
