  • Instagram Post 10:29 Monday 4th July 2022The hard work at the @laudatosicentre memorial forest is paying off! The wildflower patches we have sown have really come to life this year with Yellow Rattle, Corn Cockle, Common Birds-foot-Trefoil and our first marsh orchid. We have cut pathways through the patches so visitors can explore and take a look at the site as it continues to develop. #communitymeadow #memorialforest #memorialtrees #lifeforalife #lifeforalifememorialforest #nature #wildflowers #wildflowersofinstagram #yellowrattle #catholicchurch #laudatosi
  • Instagram Post 10:29 Monday 4th July 2022A few weeks ago, with the help of 1st Catforth, @prestonscouts we wrapped up this year’s tree planting at Starling Wood, Beacon Fell. The tree planting helped towards the scouts achieving their forestry badge. We still need your help to get the remaining trees planted and support 9 local Lancashire hospices and charities. To donate visit the link in our bio. We look forward to more planting this coming winter. • Instagram Post 10:29 Monday 4th July 2022It is the last day of “No Mow May” and whilst some of the memorial forests might look a little wild we have seen a massive difference in the amount and variety of wildflowers popping up from Wood Anemone and Celandine covering the woodland floor at the Crook ‘o’ Lune to Wild Garlic at Torside and a Bee feeding on Bistort at Marklands. The bees and the team thank you for your patience and understanding whilst doing something different for the environment this May but the team will be getting the forests back into shape very soon. Don’t worry though we will still be leaving something for our pollinating friends here and there #wildflowers #nomowmay #bees #pollinators #meadows #memorialforests #memorialforest #environment #partnership #landmanagement #charity #memorialtrees
