  • Instagram Post 15:00 Sunday 7th March 2021This morning we had the pleasure of donating £1,500 to Dr. Kershaw's Hospice in Royton, towards their Furnish with Love Appeal. The donation will be used to purchase new furniture and equip patient rooms. Thank you to our volunteer Viv who presented the cheque outside the new ward and to all those who have dedicated trees and the landowners who make donations like this possible. 🌳 🌳 🌳 - #donation #giving #charity #memorialforest #memorialtrees #caring #smallcharity #giving #donations #community #supportlocal #trees #plantatree #forest #makeadifference #drkershawshospice #hospice #furnishwithlove #fundraising
  • Instagram Post 15:00 Sunday 7th March 2021There are lots of good reasons to leave areas of our memorial forests uncut and natural and this Lesser Celandine (Ficaria vern) shows us why. It’s not only a lovely spring wildflower but provides a great source of early pollen and nectar for insects and pollinators. #nomow #nature #naturephotography #wildflowes #celandine #natural #memorialforest #memorialtrees #homefornature
  • Instagram Post 15:00 Sunday 7th March 2021Some pictures from a busy few days working in partnership with @lancaster_city_council and The Hermitage Field Community Meadow charity. Together we’ve restored a pathway to the rear of the Hermitage Field memorial forest, trimmed the hedge and created a new wildflower planting bed to help our pollinators! scroll to the end to see what it looked like before. #countrysidemanagement #restoration #pathways #pollinators #wildflowers #wildflowermeadow #community #accessimprovements #memorialforest #charity #teamworkmakesthedreamwork #partnership #trees #hedges #conservation
  • Instagram Post 15:00 Sunday 7th March 2021Good News: We have been able to donate £4,250 this week to help 11 different charities local to our planting sites. Donations like this are only possible thanks to those who dedicate trees to help create our memorial forests and the support we receive from landowners, who provide space for tree planting. We cannot thank everyone enough. - - - #charity #memorialforest #memorialtrees #caring #smallcharity #giving #donations #community #supportlocal #trees #plantatree #forest

  • Instagram Post 15:00 Sunday 7th March 2021Work has finally started at the Lowes Road Memorial Forest in Bury. Creating not just a new planting area but also a 2 acre pollinator friendly wildflower meadow. 🦋 - The work was planned to commence in March this year, but for obvious reasons this was delayed. - The work will continue throughout the winter and in to the spring. - #memorialforest #trees #plantatree #forestcreation #woodlandplanting #planting #wildflowermeadow #bury #tree #lancashire
  • Instagram Post 15:00 Sunday 7th March 2021Take extra care of the environment this Christmas, follow the rules and please do not to hang items on trees. Help nature instead by sowing some wildflower seeds and planting native bulbs to help the bees in spring or hang a fat ball to help feed the birds this winter. - As always items left will be descreetly removed. - 📸 Wythenshawe Park Memorial Forest - - - #christmas #happychristmas #environment #memorialtree #forest #trees #tree #plantatree #memorial #frostymorning #views #woodlandview

  • Instagram Post 15:00 Sunday 7th March 2021It is with great sadness that we share the news that our beloved Founder and Chief Executive Norman Armstrong-Kersh MBE. KCOM has passed away. After a short illness Norman died peacefully on 13th September 2020. Norman was a loving family man and leaves behind five children, five grandchildren, one great grandchild and many countless friends. He was a gentle, loving and compassionate man who has left behind a strong and sustainable legacy with the Charity Life for a Life Memorial Forest, which will continue to grow from strength to strength in the safe hands of the Trustees and Staff. It was Norman’s last wish to have a Memorial tree planted in his memory; this will be planned post Covid-19 to allow the opportunity for all those who wish to attend, to celebrate the life of this great gentleman. Further details to follow.
